Job Description

Layout designer responsible for the layout of high-performance mixed-signal ICs and analog blocks such as amplifiers, buffers, comparators, regulators, analog-to-digital and digital-to-analog converters, etc. Responsibilities include working with circuit design engineers to physically layout circuit blocks using foundry PDKs in process nodes between 28nm and 180nm.

Qualification

• Thorough knowledge of industry standard EDA tools from Cadence
• Experience with layout of high-performance analog blocks such as analog to digital converters, references, digital to analog converters, OpAmps etc
• Experience with floor planning, block level routing and top-level chip routing
• Knowledge of high-performance analog layout techniques such as common centroid layout, shielding, use of dummy devices, and electromigration criteria
• Demonstrated experience with analog layout for silicon chips in mass production
• Experience with high-voltage (20V+) devices preferred
• Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills
• 5+ years of experience in high performance analog layout

Qualifications

• BSEE preferred, BS in Business or equivalent.

• Engineering background is preferred with a background in Analog and Mixed-signal ICs.
• Strong technical knowledge of semiconductor IC products is required.

Job Description
The Device Characterization Engineer primarily owns product characterization efforts, Silicon verification and debugging, and qualification including determining test limits on Automatic Test Equipment (ATE) prior to releasing products into manufacturing. Position will work closely with Application and Design teams to create test plans and generate test procedures defining specific setup requirements and instructions. The Device Characterization Engineer will participate in engineering testing operations, analyze results, and write reports.

Responsibilities

• Conducts test programming to include bench test setup and control applications and/or systems interfacing.
• Set up and operate lab equipment like scopes, SMUs, debugger systems, data acquisition systems as needed for testing, debug, and validation.
• Collaborate in a team environment to produce system specifications, device characterization documentation, test plans to test hardware and software, and design reviews.
• Will ensure correlation between the ATE test results and the Design Bench Verification results.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in EE or equivalent

In the SMTS Applications Engineer role, you will work with the DC-DC Power Management team to define, validate and provide customer support for state-of-the-art DC/DC power management ICs.  You will participate in the entire product development cycle of DC-DC power management products including buck, boost, buck-boost, and flyback converters.
